ALN Support
Idris Davies School 3 to 18 is fully inclusive and provides for a wide range of learning needs. Currently 21% of the school population is on the register for Additional Learning Needs. The range is from specific through to moderate learning difficulties. We are absolutely determined to provide an exceptional standard of education for every child that comes to our school, so that they have the opportunity to lead happy and successful lives. We are a welcoming and caring school that also has exceedingly high expectations of every single one of our students. We take great pride in enabling them to grow and to flourish in a safe environment. We have a well-established Nurture provision at key stage three and four, and provide a wide variety of bespoke learning packages for our learners with specific learning and medical needs.
We have lots of dedicated spaces within our school to support our pupils. A Nurture room, wellbeing room, and a THRIVE hut. Students accessing the Nurture Provision will have identified needs within the areas of:
- Autistic Spectrum Disorder;
